Maintenance of an electric bicycle should be carried out regularly, preferably every 3-6 months, unless there are obvious signs of problems or wear.
This may also depend on the type and regularity of use, if the bicycle is used every day for about 30 km, it is normal that the bicycle will need greater attention than one used only on the weekend for a few km.
It is important to check the tires for any punctures or wear (recommended at least once a month), the brakes, to assess if there is a need to adjust the caliper, the brake pads to see if they need to be replaced, lubricate the chain and adjust the gearbox.
It is important to lubricate and grease all fixed components with white fixing paste, and bearing grease for all movable parts.
Additionally, the battery should be recharged regularly to maintain optimal capacity. It is advisable to follow the manufacturer's instructions for maintenance specifications of your electric bicycle.
In our case we recommend charging the battery at least once every 2 months, this to maintain a sufficient state of charge. Keeping a discharged battery for several months can ruin the battery.
